A Divided Country: Religious Liberty and Atheistic Influences

In a country where tolerance is waning and where people of various religious and ethnic backgrounds undermine the founding moral structure, there is a hope that one day we can remain "one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

I am an avid outdoors nut with a love for God. I spend as much time as possible outside hiking and mountain biking. I am active in youth ministry and am currently deciding between youth ministry and biology as a career path. I also have the most incredible people in my life. Most notably, my girlfriend, Jodi. It's definitely amazing how God can bless you so much through only one person. ;)

Long time, no post

To any passerby (in which case I am sure you will be new here), it is obvious I haven't been on in quite a while. Here's an update:

  • I failed to start a ministry after months of hard work. It wasn't a road God wanted me to take, I suppose)
  • I started getting into more real-life ministry in the real world.
  • I got into a relationship with my best friend and couldn't have been blessed more.
  • I started in youth ministry and found it to have a strange alluring force. So much so that I am looking at being a youth pastor.
  • I started some community college and am transferring out to a four year college this fall with two quarters under my belt.
  • And I decided I need to update this and start posting again.
Anyway, so that's been my life these last two years... I know, amazing, huh? I am just anticipating another wonderful year and have already been blessed so much. I am going to redo this blog and hopefully start posting again and maybe do some discussion. We'll see how it goes. At any rate, feel free to comment, it would be good to hear from people on Blogger after so long. God bless!

We have moved!

Hello all. You may have not seen me in a while, so let me explain. After several months if blogging, I got quite a number of visitors to my blog, many comments too. My goal was to spread the Gospel of God's Word to everyone, and by blogging, I wasn't doing that enough. So I went and began looking at options. I started a larger Religious Information site that had religious article, etc on it. When these had grown, and I still was not seeing people's lives touched, I gave up on that. Tired and frustrated, I was willing to give up. I became interested in the Writing field, and so I started off as a freelance writer. I met it with mild success up until the last few weeks when it exploded, and I started becoming successful at it. At one point, I became the administrator and advertising director of a forum (I still am), and a main contributor to another (I still am). Because of my success, the person who owned the forum (which was a hosting forum) offered me hosting for free. What was I to do? I kept at my writing, until a few months ago, when it came to me. After reading a book, called "Escape to God", I wanted, no,... needed, to make a difference. So I starting formulating a plan to start a ministry. The name was clear, INC Ministries, or, In Need of Christ Ministries. Now blessed with my writing talent, I write religious articles, and share what I know with various publications. And that is my story. A long one, but packed into one year. My life has taken such a turn, and I now am doing what I always wanted. Details about the ministry are below.

After years of blogger, and MANY other sites, I have finally made my final move. The Lord has moved me and led me to start a Ministry where I can take witnessing to the extreme for God. This new site is a full Ministry, and I am working rapidly to get up a list of services. Within a few months I will be offering:
  • The Bible online
  • Articles
  • Devotionals
  • Biblical questions answered
  • Email help line for people needing spiritual assistance
  • Free literature handouts
  • Reflections page (full length devotionals)
  • Bible studies (Due to launch in August at the earliest)
  • A newsletter
  • By mail Bible studies
God has blessed me beyond comprehension and I am pleased to offer these services as I can get them up. INC Ministries will be a success. Your prayers are needed and appreciated. God bless!

Note:

After a while, I decided to start a hospital and prison ministry as well. I will keep people updated on this blog on how it goes. Due to launch in two months and counting.

Tsunami?

That is right guys. One year since that day that killed almost 200,000 people without mercy. I encourage you to be thankful this season for what you have and that you are alive, and for most, in good health.

Why did the Tsunami happen? Unfortunately, fingers are quickly pointed at God. Just remember guys, that with out God, you wouldn't even be here. But the reason is simple. I repeat it often. It is sin. It is what causes the child to die of cancer in the hospital while his parents look on, for the troop to be killed in combat and buried while family and friends watch, for thousands whiped off the face of the earth. Sin causes it all. Sin exists because God put His creation to the test, and we failed Him. And now we live with the consequences.

But through all this God's saving love and grace remains, ready for the sinner to ask Him for forgiveness. Even though a Christian's life is not a walk in the park at all, you always have a loving God standing right by you always. Have a Happy New Year guys!

Why want more?

I was thinking the other day, about how we always want more. More things, more money. I thought about what the bible says about money, and about wanting more. It says:

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I kind of felt bad for these people. Remember, Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

I searched deeper, finding that well known text: Mat 6:19,20 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal, But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal

Now I am not sayin that being rich is going to condemn you, or that having lots of stuff will be your end. I believe though, that it is important to remember that God gave it to us. I also think that we should pay tithe. It shows God we are appreciative to Him for being gracious to us. I gfuess what I am saying is, be grateful what you have. I have seen a lot of people that complain about what they do get. Sorry I have not posted in a while. I am now moving hosting over to a site called trap 17. I also get into online debates about religion a lot. Have a great day guys. Add your comment.

The Christian

I kind of organized my thoughts. They are not perfect. But I was thinking about how a Christian's life should be, and how they should live their lives. So I thought for a while, put my thoughts in this article, and am giving it to you to read.

The Christian should always be focused on God. If he looks at himself, he will wonder how he can ever be saved, if he looks at Jesus, he will wonder how he can ever be lost. All Christian have a talent inside, that with a little help, can spring into a great gift. It is called witnessing. The Christian may do it where ever he goes, or set aside a time to do it. Sometimes, a chritian will not do it at all. (obviously missing out on a great blessing) The Christian should always be focused on others and on God. Striving to please, his Lord and Saviour. The ultimate goal for a Christian, is not here on earth but is in heaven and is eternal. The Christian should always keep in mind, that although the times are sometimes tough, nothing is so bad as having to die to save a people, when many of them, won't even care about what you did for them. The times and trials here on earth, is not something to be feared. For a Christian should rejoice in these times, knowing well that it all has a a bigger picture and meaning. The main center of a Christian's life is following and striving to be in Jesus' foot steps. The Christian's own life is not perfect, but is, in a way, perfection in God and through His Son's blood. If you walk with God, you have nothing to fear.

Great topic!

Hi everyone, just got back from a awesome week at camp! It is always a real blessing being in a spiritually enriched environment. It was amazing at night when candles were lit to show that someone had prayed and accepted Christ, and were then floated on the lake. I am going to draw some attention to Abbie's blog while she is having a debate over a very interesting subject. Click here.
